Never
Never allow untrained persons to handle, store, mount or use diamond saws.
Never mount or remove a diamond saw while the machine is connected to its power source.
Never use a diamond saw with illegible or missing markings.
Never mount a diamond saw on a machine running faster than the saw’s maximum operating speed, or on a machine without a marked spindle speed.
Never use a diamond saw to cut metal unless specifically designed to do so.
Never use a diamond saw that has been dropped, damaged or improperly stored.
Never force a diamond saw onto the machine spindle, use a saw with an oversized bore, or alter the bore size.
Never use drive pins or blotters to mount diamond saws on hand-held machines.
Never overtighten the mounting device or use a hammer or extension bar.
Never use damaged, dirty or distorted flanges or fastening screws.
Never use a machine that is in poor condition or has a damaged guard.
Never start the machine before the guard has been refitted, secured and correctly adjusted.
Never stand in line with the diamond saw when starting the machine.
Never start the machine with the diamond saw in contact with the workpiece or another object.
Never work from a ladder or where you do not have full control of the machine.
Never force the diamond saw to cut or allow it to overheat.
Never use diamond cut-off wheels to cut curves, turn in the cut or grind.
Never allow the diamond saw to bounce, become trapped or pinched in the cut.
Never stop the diamond saw by applying pressure to its surface or put the machine down while it is still running.
Never allow coolant to run onto a stationary diamond saw or leave the machine running unattended.
Never re-tip a diamond saw unless it is specifically intended for re-tipping.
Never use a hand-held machine for dry cutting unless it is specifically authorised for that use.
Always
Always observe the safety recommendations of the machine and diamond saw manufacturer.
Always handle diamond saws with care.
Always keep the work area well lit, clean and tidy; avoid slippery and uneven floors and ice or snow.
Always protect other workers nearby and passers-by from sparks and debris.
Always store diamond saws fully supported flat or hang them on a peg or rack, with light lubrication.
Always inspect for damage, including core cracks and missing or deformed segments.
Always select the correct diamond saw for the application and ensure its markings are legible.
Always use the correct tools when mounting or removing a diamond saw.
Always observe the marked direction of rotation.
Always ensure mounting flanges are matched pairs, clean, burr-free and undistorted.
Always provide sufficient coolant to both sides of the diamond saw for wet cutting.
Always ensure the workpiece is securely supported or clamped so that it cannot move during cutting.
Always ensure guards are in place and correctly adjusted so that they do not foul the diamond saw.
Always rotate the diamond saw by hand, with power disconnected, to check that it runs true and freely before switching on.
Always wear suitable personal protective equipment, including eye, hearing and respiratory protection, gloves and protective clothing.
Always observe the operating speed recommended by the diamond saw or machine manufacturer.
Always run the diamond saw for at least 30 seconds at maximum permitted operating speed after mounting or remounting; observe both wheel and machine limits.
Always ensure true, vibration-free running and check frequently for undercutting or loss of tension.
Always allow the diamond saw to come to rest naturally after switching off.
Always check machine spindle speed periodically with a tachometer.
Always remove the diamond saw before transporting or storing portable and mobile machines.

Laser-welded blades for hand-held and ring saws. The shared catalogue page carries a dry-use symbol; this does not authorise dry operation of every ring saw. Wet or dry operation depends on the specific blade design and the operating instructions of the machine in use. Where the machine requires water cooling, it must be maintained continuously. Cooling holes and silent cores are available on request. Printed maximum peripheral speed for the tool group: 100 m/s; the limits of the specific blade and machine remain authoritative. Forms: Zenesis (Supreme), Normal (Premium, Standard, Economy, Seco), V-Turbo, Shark, Shallow-Turbo, X-Turbo, S-Turbo and Ring saw (Premium, Standard).

FAST stands for Flexible Angle Segment Technology. Segments can be oriented horizontally, at a slant or vertically. The catalogue presents the approach as a first introduction of multi-directional segment technology. Different orientations balance removal rate and the required scratch pattern. The four-level scale is a relative selection guide within this system.
Horizontal – level 4: most aggressive removal, deeper scratches, for faster removal. Slant – level 3: lighter, shallower scratches while maintaining aggressive grinding speed. Combined vertical and slant – level 2: a smoother scratch pattern with speed, for production throughput. Vertical – level 1: the shallowest and smoothest scratch pattern, for polishing and high-finish applications.
Floor grinding: FAST system – ApplicationFAST: three segment orientationsFAST: orientation and relative scratch pattern

Manual versions are illustrated for wet and dry use; CNC versions for wet use. Side protection for manual core bits is available on request. The dimension table calls the vacuum-brazed version Vacuum, while the product illustration calls it BSL. Non-core bits are listed separately from core bits.
For CNC non-core bits, 7 is listed in the Thickness column. As this entry does not unambiguously identify a wall thickness, the value is retained as a table specification and clarified for the actual design.

DiamondX uses BSL – Brazed Single Layer: diamond grit is brazed in a single layer onto the steel body. The attachment combines chemical and mechanical grit retention. X denotes the intended gain in tool life. The range comprises thin cut-off wheels, rail cut-off wheels, other cut-off wheels and depressed-centre grinding discs.
Applications: high- and low-carbon steel, ductile iron, steel sections, bars and tubes, hard-facing welding alloys, cast iron and rail track. Select the DiamondX tool explicitly suited to the operation.
The single-layer diamond coating is designed for longer life and fewer changeover interruptions than conventional abrasives such as aluminium oxide, zirconia alumina and silicon carbide. The steel body largely retains its basic geometry, providing more consistent tool size than consumable bonded cut-off wheels. Actual tool life depends on the tool, material and operating conditions.
EHWA also describes reduced sparks and debris and avoidance of the binder-related odour of conventional discs. The steel body avoids their typical brittle bonded structure and supports a robust tool design. This does not imply immunity to breakage or wear: correct mounting, guards, personal protective equipment and permitted operating limits remain essential. The different forms support versatile cutting, grinding and surface applications.

ZENESIS edition 5Pro: match the tool to the application
ZENESIS positions diamonds in a designed pattern within the segment. The edition 5Pro programme combines an optimized bond matrix with three-dimensional diamond placement. The design is tailored to the material, machine power and required balance between cutting speed and tool life. The programme covers floor, wall, hand-held, ring and battery saw blades, plus wet and dry core bits.
The development aims at fast working, smooth running and comfortable handling. Actual cutting speed, noise and tool life depend on the machine, material and operating conditions.

Power classes and application groups are printed independently in the source. They do not provide an unambiguous individual item assignment. The printed power classes leave 50–60 kW unspecified for ZEF-5Pro and 5–7.5 kW unspecified for ZEW-5Pro; the tool design for such machines is selected individually. The manufacturer also lists a silenced steel core for ZEW-5Pro.

Select DiamondX by operation, tool form, machine type, dimensions and permitted speed. The tables reproduce metric data from the broader Q222 product overview. Supplementary older metric and regional imperial variants follow with their source identified. Arbor and availability are agreed for the specific enquiry; inch values are not treated as exact conversions of a metric design.
Dimension order: outside diameter × thickness × arbor where three dimensions are listed; outside diameter × arbor where two are listed. Speeds are the printed table values [min⁻¹ / rpm], not recommended operating speeds. Different regional arbor specifications remain in their respective source variants.
Table dimension order; no additional product dimensions.
DiamondX Chopper and Cutter
Chopper is intended for lower-power metal chop saws. Cutter is intended for high-speed gasoline cut-off saws; Q222 also lists higher-powered chop saws. As the current Diamond Vantage product page restricts Cutter use to gasoline cut-off saws, any different machine assignment must be confirmed for the specific design. Internal manufacturer tests cite tool life corresponding to up to 70 conventional 14-inch discs; results depend on application, machine and operator.

Cut-off wheels: imperial source variant
DM and U/A remain unexplained source terms for arbor options. 20 mm is an explicitly metric alternative in the imperial table. These codes do not automatically replace the repeated metric source code.

Select the tool with EHWA using material, operation, machine and arbor. For older source variants, state source code, dimensions and source together; the repeated DXC0125P4509 code alone does not identify a uniquely orderable size.
For selection, provide the machine and connection, material, operation, required dimensions and finish, wet/dry use and available extraction or cooling. We will use this information to specify the tool version, product code and suitable operating parameters. EHWA Europe: info@ehwadia.de, +49 6173 997780.
